libfreeimage3 software package provides Support library for graphics image formats (library), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfreeimage3
libfreeimage3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfreeimage3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfreeimage3 *
You will get with libfreeimage3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
